May 8

Today is very nice outside. No precipitation. As you can see in the image below, we have some cumulus humulis, and possibly mediocris clouds. I expect that by this evening the clouds will turn into cumulus congestus clouds, and thus thuderstorms possibly tomorrow or on thursday.

So there is still a high pressure system over the great lakes, which is giving us nice weather. However, there is a cold front approaching, from a polar air mass, causing the wind to come from the NE, however as that low pressure system near colorado moves east, the wind may shift coming from the south or east. bringing rain and thunderstorms.
 



The low pressure system on the east coast is still cycling but it is dying out. you can see the low over south dakota is swirling, but you can see the moisture developing near colorado.
